Almost April???

I promise, I did not forget about you all. Life is crazy as usual. Times change so quickly. My brother and I traveled down south to visit our sisters and brother-in-law for a week. While there, our beautiful dog Josie Pie was killed in the road. it was obviously totally not expected and our family grieved. But the Lord is so faithful. He provided another puppy (Josie's niece) who needed a home because she is blind in one eye. She's a 7 week old ball of fluff and so cute. We named her Lindy Rose. I'll call her Lindy Lou Who (a play off of Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch).

Josie Pie, a wonderful dog who is greatly missed

In other news, I am going to be an aunt very soon! My sister Katy is due any day now. AHHHHH this is SO exciting!!!! I can't wait for the little guy to make his apperance into this world! Updates will follow on the birth, ect. Blessings!

Good bye.....

Hey All,

Today I had to say goodbye to my dearest, bestest friend. Well, of the canine variety anyway. My beautiful dog Gretchen Faithful died today. She was 12 years old. I can't put into words how much it hurts. She has been my tried and true friend for years and years. She watched me grow up. She never back stabbed or talked mean about me. She always was willing to listen and was quick to wag her tail or lick my hand. I've spent many a night sobbing all over her because of the big, mean world. Some days I would come home from school and feel very lonely. Gretchen always cheered me up. I will miss her so stinkin' much.

Maybe some people think it's lame to be so attatched to a dog. I realize there are much bigger issues in the world than this but she meant so much to me. God gave me a beautiful gift for 12 years. I am so thankful and will always have the memories of her. Thank You Jesus!

Gretchen will always be my first dog. I love her so incredibly much and miss her. She's beautiful and I'll never forget her no matter how many dogs I own.

Puppy!!!

Hey All,
I wanted to post some pictures of our neighbor's new puppy. He is a dalmatian/black lab mix and I admit that I am head over heels in love with the little guy. I call him Junior. Just random Abby trivia, big dogs are the best animal ever created! Then I also love cats and horses. Snakes are the worst. I don't understand how people can hate dogs because I'm convinced they're God's gift to us humans. I sincerely praise the Lord for dogs. Where would we be without them?

In other news, I got a letter from the college I applied to today. They said that since I don't have a declared major, I can't get financial aid. So I'm thinking over different things and also praying. Do I just want to go to college to save money because I don't think God is able to provide? The other morning, I was reading in Luke 12. Just prior to this I had been complaining to God about this whole Mexico thing and lacking faith so much. He gave me these verses anyway:

Verses 22-34 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? ...Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, of how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you... Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Such a needful reminder for me! Why is it that I can't learn my lesson the first time God teaches it to me? Please be praying that I will be discerning as to what the Lord wants for my life.

I hope you are all blessed tonight. Espero que tengas un buen noche. Cuidate hermanos!

Las Estrellas

Hey All!

It's been a few days since my last post. Lo siento. Not too much has been happening in the way of Mexico so I kinda put off writing on this. But I just got in from sitting on my porch swing looking at the stars. They are amazingly bright tonight! Made me think of PNG and star gazing there. I miss it alot! I saw two shooting stars. How cool is that!!! Laying out looking at the stars is one of my all time favorite activities. That is one thing I don't think I could live without being able to see.

I have been posting on here but have yet to include a picture of my dearest friend of all time, Gretchen Faithful Case. She has been my best friend since I was a little girl. She is a pure bred black labrador retriever although we never were able to teach her to retrieve! She will be 12 this November. I love her dearly. Gretchen was our family's first pet ever and is such a good dog. You might think it lame that I'm writing about my dog, but she is seriously one of my dearest friends!

Sorry that this post is so boring but I want to write at least once a week. I'm still waiting for my dictionary to come. It's been 1 1/2 weeks since I ordered it. About time for it to come! I want to start working on future tense in Spanish. It will help me greatly I think. Ok, that's it for now. Dios te bendiga mucho!
